EMS APPARATUS

Medic 36/236 Paramedic Unit 728

The 2009 was a dealer demonstrator which stickered for $127,010 but two grants obtained by the village lowered its cash outlay to under $ 8,000.  As the workhorses of the department, both ambulances are equipped with advanced life support medical equipment including LifePak 15 heart monitor/defibrillators, CPAP, Ferno PowerFlexx stretchers, and personnel aboard are armed with an aggressive medical care protocol. Ambulances are rotated into front-line duty on alternating months to balance the workload.
