NRFEMS in Action
Eighteen NRFEMS firefighters trained on automobile extrication for September’s fire fighter continuing education course. Using a scenario-based approach, firefighters applied their rescue skills to disentangle trapped “victims” involved in a simulated automobile roll-over accident. Contributing to a successful training were Lindale Auto Parts for providing automobiles; A-jax Towing and Conner’s Towing for moving vehicles to and from the drill location; and street commissioner Leo Hurst for backhoe work that provided realistic damage to the automobiles.
